I have managed to conceptually work out the solutions to the key challenges to creating a wearable dialysis machine:

  1. Ultra-pure water – availability, usage and recycling
  2. Pumping – for continuous filtration
  3. Weight – Ultra-low weight enabling wearing for long durations
  4. Blood Coagulation – an innovative solution to prevent it
  5. Blood Pressure – ensuring negligible impact
  6. Safety – being able to use the wearable without medical supervision

Status

Research is underway for moving from concept to design. The project will be taken up in later half of 2026 or early 2027.
